Syed Mahmood Naqvi is a well-known Indian Geologist and Geochemist. He was born on 28 August 1941 in Amroha, British India. He is a famous Shia person. He is an Earth Scientist. The Indian Government has awarded him many times because of his work.

Syed Mahmood Naqvi Education

Syed Mahmood Naqvi started his school life in Amroha. He completed his primary Secondary education from there. He also completed his college education from there. He moved to Aligarh city for further studies. He was admitted to Aligarh Muslim University where he studied under the best teachers. He completed his graduation from there.

In 1964 he became part of NGRI as a research scientist. He also continued his studies there and completed his Ph.D. degree he also completed his thesis

He is a famous Earth scientist. Appointed as research scientist in NGRI in 1964. He spends 4 decades there. He worked with all his effort for the institution he never left that institution. He got an invitation from Aligarh University but he rejected that and stayed at NGRI.

He did research and every success he also researched on atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. He his doctorate in 1970 from Aligarh Muslim University.

A Gold Medal of his name is awarded every two years in India to scientists under the age of 60.
