A noted Shia Muslim teacher, Poet, and Writer born in 1958 in Karachi Pakistan Late Dr.Rehan Azmi (late). His contribution to Noha and Manqabat poetry is limitless. He wrote Thousands of Nohay and Manqabat which were recited by famous Noha Khuwan of Pakistan like Nadeem Sarwar, Mir Hasan Mir, Shahid Baltistani, Farhan Ali Waris, etc
Early Life
His real name is Syed Rehan Abbas. Rehan Azmi (Late) holds a bachelor’s degree in Arts from Surajuddaula College Karachi. His contribution to the field of writing and poetry won him an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the United States of America in 1993.
When Dr.Rehan Azmi was live he wrote more than 1000 Nohay per year which was a record in itself.

At the age of 63, Dr.Rehan Azmi died after a long illness in Karachi this year 2021. His funeral was held at Jafar-e-Tayyar and laid to rest in the Wadi-E-Hussain graveyard in Karachi.
