Agha Shahid Ali is a famous poet from India. He was born on 4th February 1949. He is born in New Delhi. His family is basically from Kashmir. His father was Agha Ashraf Ali. He left India in 1976 and moved to the United States of America.

Agha Shahid Ali Initial Life and Education

Agha Shahid Ali was born in Kashmir but his family moved to Kashmir. He started his school education in Srinagar Kashmir. He completed his Primary and secondary education at Burn Hall School in Srinagar Kashmir. He also completed his Intermediate from Kashmir.

He went to the University of Kashmir, then moved to Delhi and continued his education at Hindu College, University of Delhi. After he moved to the United States he was admitted to Pennsylvania State University where he completed his Ph.D Degree in English Subject in 1984. In 1985 was admitted to the University of Arizona and completed his M.F.A Degree.
