Agha Shaukat Ali was born and raised in Srinagar Kashmir. He was born in the year 1919. His Mother’s name is Begum Zaffar Ali. He was born into an Afghan family. This family moved from Afghanistan to Srinagar in the early 19th century. Agha Shaukat Ali has two brothers named Agha Nasir Ali who is a civil servant and Agha Ashraf Ali.
Agha Shaukat Ali Education
Agha Shaukat Ali started his school life in Srinagar he studied his school education at Mission School later this school was named Tyndale Biscoe School. He completed his matriculation in the year 1936. He went to Sri Pratap College where he studied Arts subject. After college, he went to Aligarh University and completed his Degree in LLB.
Agha Shaukat Ali’s mother was the first lady from Srinagar who matriculated.
Agha Shaukat Ali Political Career
Agha was married to Mussarat Nizamuddin she belongs to the Mian family of Babhbanpura. He joined the Kashmir Civil Service and started his career as Tehsildar.
He joined the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference and became its general secretary. He resigned from the Kashmir civil service in the year 1946.
Agha Played an important role in changing politics in Kashmir because Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah requested him to do that. He promoted Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s many policies in Kashmir.
Agha Shaukat Ali Moved to Pakistan
Shaukat Ali was imprisoned in the year 1947 due to some political issues. He was treated so badly in prison. in 1947 when Pakistan came into being the prison was brokered by the United Nations. He has been exchanged by Indian Prisoner Named Brigadier Ghansara Singh who was the ex-Governor of Gilgit. Shaukat Ali moved to Pakistan with his Wife he left his mother and brother in Kashmir.

Agha Shaukat Ali has visited many countries like the USA, England, and others. His family is now living in the USA. He gave suggestions to President Perwaiz Musharaf on the Kashmir issue.
Agha shaukat Ali died on 19 march 2013 in Vienna, USA.
