Mohsin Naqvi is a famous Shia poet. He was born and raised in Dera Ghazi Khan Punjab Pakistan. He is born on 10 May 1947. His name was Ghulam Abbas but he changed it later to Ghulam Abbas Mohsin Naqvi.

Mohsin Naqvi is born in Dera Ghazi Khan Punjab Pakistan. His father’s name is Syed Chiragh Hussain Shah. He Has written many Ghazals.
Mohsin Naqvi Started his school life in Dera Ghazi Khan. He attended a government school in his city where he completed his primary and secondary education and completed his matriculation from there as well.
He went to Government College Multan and completed his Graduation. After Graduation, he went to the University of the Punjab Lahore and completed his Masters Degree.

He is known as He is known as Shair-e Ahl-e-Bait (Poet of Ahl-e-Bait). He has written many Marsiya, Manqabat, Noha and Salam. His written Marsiya and Salams were recited today as well in Majis in the whole of Pakistan and even in India.
He got a title of “Iqbal-e-Sani”. His teacher was Rafiq Khawar Jaskani who taught him about poetry and many other things about poetry.
