Kamal Amrohvi is born on 17 January 1918 in Amroha British India. He spent his childhood in Amroha. He is the cousin of Famous Poets Jaun Elia and Rais Amrohvi.
He started his education in Amroha. He studied together with Jaun Elia and Rais Amrohvi. He completed his primary and secondary education from there. He was interested in poetry and film making so he moved to Lahore in 1938 to continue his studies.
